ArmourGrid, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “ArmourGrid,” “we” or “us”) respect your personal privacy and are committed to adhering to federal, state and local privacy laws and industry guidelines in order to protect you and your identity.

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how we collect, use, and disclose information about you that we collect through websites, mobile websites, microsites, pages on social media sites, HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you, and any other digital software or services and properties operated or used by us from time to time (collectively, the “KUVRR”). Please be sure to read this entire Privacy Policy before using, submitting, or uploading information and material to KUVRR. When you submit information to us via KUVRR, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. ArmourGrid reserves the right to occasionally update this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you periodically review this Privacy Policy.

ArmourGrid does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal information to any third parties for marketing or sales purposes. When you use Shield, you may provide information that we use to connect you with employers, schools, colleges, malls, public venues or any other entities (collectively called “Entities”) that may provide safety, emergency and/or other critical support to you. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the privacy practices of those Entities other than ArmourGrid. Please contact those Entities directly and request them to provide their privacy policies to you.

By using KUVRR, you consent to the use, disclosure, transfer and processing of your personal information, including any sensitive personal information, as set forth in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended by us.

Information We Access or Collect
KUVRR and our service providers may collect information from you and your device while you use KUVRR, including creation and configuration of your account; selection of an organization or any of other KUVRR’s features that may require usage of your personal information, contacts, images, videos, audio files and other content; Direct call to us for support, request, comment, inquiry or any other matters; sign-up to receive electronic messages, safety notifications or any other service-related notifications.

The information provided by you may include, but is not limited to:
‍(a) your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and other information provided by you during interaction and/or sign-up and/or registration and/or user profile creation
(b) Images, videos, live audio/video streamed from your device while using KUVRR, audio files and other content you provide to us through KUVRR
(c) Your contacts and associated information
(d) Information you provide to us when you contact us regarding support, comments, suggestions, sales or any other matter.

Additionally, when you use certain KUVRR features, you may permit, through the permission systems used by your mobile devices, that we access the names and contact information in the address book on your device or collect your precise location information (see below for more on location information). If you choose to communicate with us your contacts through KUVRR, for example, by using SOS, you represent that all such contacts have consented to receive SMS texts from you.

Some of the information you may choose to provide may constitute sensitive personal information, such as information related to your personal data, current health status, potential criminal activity, and racial or ethnic origin.

You may be able to submit certain information anonymously, in which case we will not disclose your identity in connection with your submission except when we believe that we are legally permitted or required to provide organizations with which you are affiliated, emergency service providers or other government entities with information that may identify the individuals who submitted tips anonymously.

For purposes of this Privacy Statement, “personal information” means information that can be used to reasonably identify an individual. We may also collect your personal information when You contact us about any KUVRR products or services, such as for sales inquiry, improvement suggestion or technical support.

Information Automatically Collected from You
We and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information from your devices when you use KUVRR, such as IP address, Internet access provider or mobile carrier information, device and application IDs, and information regarding how you use KUVRR.

Location Information
Many of our safety communication services and KUVRR features rely on precise location information. This information helps provide actionable crowd-sourced safety and security intelligence to you and other users and connects people to the help they need. To support these services, KUVRR may use your IP address, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower location information, and other technologies to determine your device’s approximate or precise location. You can share your precise location with us and other users, public safety officials, and organizations to which you belong or affiliated with or subscribed to. You may adjust your location settings on your mobile device at any time by managing your location services preferences through the settings of your device or, if available, through KUVRR’s permission settings. Please note that if you disable location services on your device or for KUVRR mobile app, you will not be able to take advantage of the full range of KUVRR mobile app’s safety features.

Information Obtained from Other Sources – We may receive information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through KUVRR. This includes: 1) We receive information about you from your affiliated organizations such as your employer or educational institution.

How Do We Use this Information?
‍If you choose to associate your account with an organization as part of your account set up, this organization will receive the information you provide us, information we may obtain as a result of your use of certain KUVRR features as well as some of the information we automatically collect from you. This Privacy Policy does not describe how the organizations that you connect with may use your information. Please review the privacy policies of the organizations you connect with to learn more about their data handling practices. We, and our affiliates and subsidiaries, may use the information we collect for a number of purposes, including, but not limited to:

helping you in an emergency, such as by directing your tips and other communications to operators and responding via secure live chat;
supporting the organizations, you join in providing you with services and support, including for safety and security purposes;
sending you safety alerts and other relevant safety and service-related notifications via SMS text, push notification, email and other methods;
allowing you to communicate and share certain KUVRR features with friends, family, chosen organization, and other third parties that you choose;
allowing you to set up a user account and profile;
providing you with products, services, or information you request;
providing you with information about KUVRR or required notices;
customizing your experience when using KUVRR, such as by providing interactive or personalized elements our applications and providing you with content based on your location, the organizations you have joined, or your interests;
improving KUVRR and the services we provide, such as by using analytics and better tailoring our content to our users’ needs and preferences;
generating and analyzing statistics about your use of KUVRR;
detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, intellectual property infringement, violations of our Terms of Use, violations of law, or other misuse of KUVRR; and
to support our business operations.

We also may combine or aggregate any of the information we collect through KUVRR or elsewhere for any of these purposes.

‍Under What Circumstances Do We Disclose this Information?
‍We may disclose the information we collect from you through KUVRR mobile app:

to your friends, family, chosen organizations, and other third parties that you choose to receive the information;
to our affiliates and subsidiaries;
to service providers who work on our behalf and who have agreed to use the information solely in furtherance of our operations (such as providers of hosting services and email/SMS delivery services);
to public safety officials and other government entities on an emergency basis or when requested by you;
as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or other legal process, or to comply with government reporting obligations;
when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary (a) to protect our rights, the integrity of KUVRR, the rights of the organizations with which we partner, or your safety or the safety of others, or (b) to detect, prevent, or respond to fraud, intellectual property infringement, violations of our Terms of Use, violations of law, or other misuse of KUVRR; and
to affiliates, service providers, advisors, and other third parties to the extent reasonably necessary to proceed with the negotiation or completion of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation).

Please remember that if you choose to associate your account with an organization as part of your account set up, this organization will receive the information you provide us as well as the information we automatically collect from you. This organization may use this information in accordance with its privacy policies. Please review the privacy policies of the organization to learn more about its data handling practices.

In addition, we may share de-identified reports on user demographics and traffic patterns, as well as other de-identified information, with third parties.

Aggregated informationWe and our third-party service providers may collect Other Information in a variety of ways, including:

Through your browser or device: Certain information is collected by most browsers or automatically through your device, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, Internet browser type and version and the name and version of the KUVRR you are using. We use this information to ensure that the KUVRR functions properly.
Using cookies: Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the computer that you are using. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Sites, pages visited, language preferences, and other anonymous traffic data. We and our service providers use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation and display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience while using the Sites, as well as for online tracking purposes. We can recognize your computer to assist your use of KUVRR web sites. We also gather statistical information about the usage of KUVRR web sites in order to continually improve the design and functionality of the sites, to understand how the sites are used, and to assist us with resolving questions regarding the sites. Cookies further allow us to select offers that are most likely to be relevant to your interests and needs and display them while you are on the Sites. We may also use cookies in online advertising to track responses to our offerings and we may use cookies or other files to track your use of other websites. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, you can decline cookies; however, if you do not accept these cookies, you might experience some inconvenience in your use of KUVRR web sites. Cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions.
Using pixel tags and other similar technologies: Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used in connection with KUVRR web sites to, among other things, track the actions of users of KUVRR web site (including email recipients), measure the success of our marketing campaigns and compile statistics about usage of the Sites and response rates.
IP Address: Your IP Address is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user accesses KUVRR, along with the time of the visit and the pages that were visited. Collecting IP Addresses is standard practice and is done automatically by many websites, applications and other services. We use IP Addresses for purposes such as calculating usage levels of KUVRR, helping diagnose server problems, and administration.
By aggregating information: Aggregated Personal Information does not personally identify you or any other user of KUVRR.

Where is this Information Processed?
‍Information collected through KUVRR will be processed in and subject to the laws of the United States, which was deemed by the European Commission not to offer a level of data protection equivalent to the EU, and may be available to the United States government, state government, courts, or law enforcement or regulatory agencies under a lawful order made in the United States. In addition, we or our service providers may transfer your information outside the United States to our global offices located in other countries. By using KUVRR, you consent to such transfer to, and processing in, the United States and these other countries.

‍How do We Store Your Information?
‍We strive to maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to safeguard the personal information collected by KUVRRR. However, no information system can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Moreover, we are not responsible for the security of personal information you transmit to KUVRR over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks.

‍Your Choices
‍You choose whether to report tips, use emergency features, communicate with your chosen organization, friends, family and others, or invite a third party to participate in a WalkSafe or share any other KUVRR features. In connection with some features, you may be able to submit certain information anonymously.Within KUVRR, you can access your profile to update your name and contact information, manage the organizations with which you are connected, and view your App activity. If you cannot find the information you are looking for or make the changes you want to make in the App, please submit a request at the contact information listed below.To the extent the following rights are granted by the country in which you are located, you have the right to request access to or rectification or erasure of any personal information KUVRR may hold about you, the right to object to the processing of your information or request the restriction of that processing, and the right to data portability.We do not currently respond to web browser “do not track” signals or other mechanisms that provide a method to opt out of the collection of information across the networks of websites and online services in which we participate. If we do so in the future, we will describe how we do so in this Privacy Policy.

‍Retention Period
‍We may retain certain information about you as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, as required by law, or for legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by applicable law.

‍Children’s Information
‍KUVRR is not directed to, nor do we knowingly collect information from, children under the age of 13. Only those over the age of 18 may use or subscribe to KUVRR. If you are under 13 please do not submit any information to us. A child or minor cannot and should not use our Service to make his or her personal Information publicly available. If you become aware that your child or any child under your care has provided us with information without your consent, please contact us at the contact information listed below.

‍THIRD PARTY SERVICES
‍This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any site or service to which the Sites link. The inclusion of a link on the Sites does not imply our endorsement of the linked site or service. Please note that we are not responsible for the collection, usage, and disclosure policies and practices (including the data security practices) of other organizations, including those relating to any Personal Information you disclose to other organizations through our pages on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

‍Changes to this Privacy Policy
‍We may update this Privacy Policy periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices. If we make significant changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting a new Privacy Policy within the app and we also may alert you to changes by sending you notice via the email address you have provided.

‍Your California Privacy Rights
‍We do not share your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. However, this Privacy Policy does not address the privacy practices of organizations other than us. If you wish to know about the data practices of other organizations, including the organizations with which you are affiliated, please contact them directly.
